Police: NY Man Leads Officers on 208 Chase, Crashes Into Wyckoff Railroad Signal

Man was charged with driving under the influence after the crash, report says.

A 25-year-old Farmingdale, N.Y., man was charged with driving under the influence after leading Glen Rock police officers on a chase up Route 208 through streets in Hawthorne and Wyckoff, Northjersey.com reported.

Kenneth Pflug was arrested following a brief foot pursuit after crashing his car shortly before 9 p.m. Friday into a signal station along the Newtown Road railroad crossing in Wyckoff, according to the report.

Police told The Record that Pflug also hit a guardrail and traffic sign during the seven-minute, 70 mph pursuit.

Pflug was remanded to the Bergen County Jail on $20,000 bail, the report said. Wyckoff might press additional charges against the driver, it said.
