The following infomation was submitted by reader Boyd A. Loving:

The driver of a handicap van overshot an unpaved parking area located at a group home owned by the Eastern Christian Children's Retreat in Midland Park on Sunday night, and wound up stuck in a nearby drainage ditch.

The van was occupied by the driver and at least one wheelchair confined group home resident at the time of the accident. The driver escaped without incident, but the wheelchair user was trapped until removed by members of the Midland Park Fire Department. Neither the driver nor occupant were injured in the mishap. A flatbed tow truck removed the van from the ditch; damage to the vehicle was minimal. Responding were Midland Park Police Department, Midland Park Fire Department, and Wyckoff Police Department.
