  • A Mahwah man was arrested Wednesday afternoon after a motor vehicle stop on Wyckoff Avenue.

Police said Bryan C. Dobbs, 22, was pulled over at 12:20 p.m. that day for driving a vehicle without working tail lights. An ensuing investigation by Patrolman Brian Zivkovich revealed that Dobbs' inspection sticker wasn't valid, police said. The Mahwah man was allegedly displaying a sticker that was a photocopy of a sticker that belonged to another vehicle, police said.

Dobbs was charged with the illegal display of a government document. Additionally, he was charged with using a cell phone while driving and improper maintenance of lamps. He was released on his own recognizance and will appear in Municipal Court on Feb. 25.
