Police Blotter: Teens Under the Influence

Multiple arrests for teen drinking, drugs and paraphernailia, and other recent police activity.

A 17-year-old Franklin Lakes teen was arrested on charges on Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Prescription Pills on Tuesday, April 26. 

According to Lt. John Bakelaar, the arrest was the result of an investigation of a report of  two suspicious motor vehicles on Glen Place.  Officers Frank O’Brien, Jon Rynander  and Gerard Gansel investigated. The case will be forwarded to the Bergen County Family Court.

On Saturday, April 23, police arrested an 18-year-old from Saddle Brook on charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane.

Also arrested as a result of the stop was a 17-year-old female passenger from Bogota. She was charged with possession of drug Paraphernalia.  Sgt. Carmine Petuzzi, and Officers Donald Wilson, Mark McCombs, and Richard Ostenbruck investigated.

On April 23, a Dakota Trail resident reported that, while he was away on a business trip, his checking and savings accounts had been depleted via fraudulent means.  Officer Andrew Cacciatore investigated.
