Ex-Cablevision Employee Charged With Theft of Funds From Township Bank Account

Police said $3,500 was illegally withdrawn from township account.

Wyckoff police said the Chief Financial Officer for the Township of Wyckoff reported on March 16 that she had uncovered fraudulent deductions totaling $3,500 from a township bank account. An investigation by Detective Sgt. Joseph Soto lead to the arrest of a Kelly M. Dunmore, 28,  of Plainfield, N.J.  on June 8.

Police said their investigation determined Dunmore was a former employee of Cablevision and in that capacity obtained the bank account numbers and routing numbers on corporate checks sent in for payment of services.

She then used this information, police said, to illegally make electronic transactions to pay a car loan, personal utility bills, and a student loan. Dunmore was charged with theft, forgery, and identity theft.
