Masked Men Enter Home, Attack Resident

Early Saturday morning attack under investigation

Two men wearing halloween masks entered a Franklin Lakes home in the middle of the night on Saturday, demanded money and cell phones, and assaulted a 20-year-old resident before leaving without taking anything.

According to Franklin Lakes Police Lt. John Bakelaar, police received a report of a home invasion on Indian Trail Drive at 3 a.m. on July 2. The home was unlocked at the time.

"The victim had hosted a small party shortly before the assault," the report stated. "After his guests had left, the two males entered and demanded money and cell phones."
