Masked Man with Handgun Robs Franklin Lakes GameStop

This is the second armed robbery in about a year at the Franklin Crossing Shopping Center video game store.

A man wearing a ski mask and brandishing an automatic handgun robbed a Franklin Lakes GameStop Wednesday night, according to police. 

Employees from the Franklin Crossing Shopping Center video game store called 911 at approximately 8:45 p.m. Wednesday reporting that a tall male wearing a black, 3-hole ski mask entered the store with a handgun demanding cash from the register, according to Franklin Lakes Police Lt. John Bakelaar.

The employees handed over approximately $400 and the masked man left the store.

Franklin Lakes Detective Anthony Pacelli and Officers Donald Wilson and Gerard Gansel investigated at the scene.

Last December, two men tying up employees and making off with approximately $900 in cash and four video game systems.

Earlier this year police released grainy surveillance photos captured from the store's security system, which they say show two cloaked men in the store the evening it was robbed.

There has not been an arrest in the December 2011 robbery.
