Franklin Lakes Woman Sues Over Rear End Splinters from Old Bench

According to a report, the woman sat on a bench at an Engelbert Humperdinck concert, and got lots of splinters in her legs and backside. Now, she's suing the concert promoter.

According to the report, Linda Vanston of Franklin Lakes went to Old Westbury three years ago to see British crooner Engelbert Humperdinck live in concert. While sitting on a wooden bench, Vanston claims she got splinters in her backside and legs, the report said.

“She feels a burning stinging pain in both of her legs, and she stands up and realizes that the wood on the bench is broken so that there are shards of wood sticking out. And she got thousands of splinters in her legs,” Vanston’s attorney Rosemarie Arnold told My9nj.com.

“You can see that even three years later she has scars all over her legs, and she also has fresh wounds where the splinters are still coming out three years later. She receives injections on a weekly basis to assist the wood from coming out of her legs.”

Vanston has sued the venue’s owner, promoter Live Nation, for an undisclosed amount over the ill-placed splinters, the report said. Live Nation did not return calls for comment on the suit.
