Franklin Avenue Work Rescheduled for Aug. 3

Only one lane of travel from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Road work that will restrict travel to one lane from the intersection of Main Street and Franklin Avenue, down to Godwin Avenue, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 3.

Police will alternate traffic down the busy thoroughfare from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. while Bergen County crews replace an underground storm drain at the railroad tracks, across from Starbucks at Boulder Run.

The job had been slated for this past Tuesday but was delayed to allow the contractor to obtain permits necessary to complete the job.

The work is expected to take one day, weather permitting.

Motorists will be able to access Boulder Run and other nearby shops, although traffic delays are expected. Police advise motorists to plan an alternate route or allow extra travel time to their trip.
