Residents will have two chances this weekend to get a first-hand look at how the Fire Department responds to serious car accidents.
The Franklin Lakes FD is planning two Vehicle Extrication Demonstrations at the town day celebration happening this Saturday, Assistant Chief Ryan Dodd announced this week.
All Franklin Lakes Day long, the FLFD will be on hand with antique and current fire trucks and other apparatus that families can go into, take pictures with, and learn about.
New this year, the extrication demonstrations will happen at 12 noon and 3 p.m.
“As in the past, fire department members will be available to answer any questions that residents might have and to educate the public on what we do,” Dodd said.
