A township man was arrested last month when police said he was found to have heroin and Xanax on him while stealing shaving cream and razors from a Wyckoff drug store, Police Chief Benjamin Fox announced in a release this week.
According to Fox, cops responded to the CVS Pharmacy in the Wyckoff Square Shopping Center at about 7:40 p.m. on June 19 on a report that a shoplifter had left the store with razors and other shaving products.
When nearby officers found Dennis Bulger, 27, they found not only the lifted goods, but also heroin and Xanax, Fox said. When officers approached Bulger, he became "combative," Fox said.
Bulger was arrested and charged with shoplifting, possession of heroin and Xanax, and obstructing a governmental function, Fox said. He was remanded to the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail, cops said.
