Cops Arrest Woman in Connection with Laurie Lane, Kent Place Burglaries

Twenty-six year old woman is charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft and one count of credit card fraud.

Cops arrested a 26-year-old Wanaque woman Thursday following an investigation into recent burglaries at two Franklin Lakes homes, police said.

The Wanaque woman is alleged to have participated in the June 5 burglary of a Laurie Lane residence and the June 9 burglary of a Kent Place residence, according to Franklin Lakes Police Lieutenant John Bakelaar.

She was released on $25,000 bail.

As reported on June 7, burglars ransacked an office and bedrooms at a Laurie Lane home situated on a quiet cul-de-sac about a mile west of  on Franklin Lakes Road.

The burglar was gone by the time the resident returned home and borough and county police combed the area but came up empty handed, police said.

In the second burglary, , burglars gained entry to the Kent Place home through a garage and stole an unspecified amount of jewelry, cops said at the time.

For punishment of all convicted criminals menacing Wyckoff, Franklin Lakes, or any town, I suggest, as a sentence, serving the community/communities by working for the road department for as many years as a judge orders (minimum wage or less, of course). Perhaps these idiots will learn that we are serious.
