Citizen's Police Academy Enrollment Open Now

Registration for the County Sheriff's Department program closes Sept. 15

The Bergen County Sheriff’s Office announced in a release last week that registration is now open for citizens looking to learn more about Bergen’s law enforcement operations.

The ninth annual Citizen’s Police Academy Class is running from Sept. 22 through Nov. 18. The weekly classes teach residents about some of the day-to-day operations of the Sherriff’s Department, with equipment demonstrations.

The bulk of the classes will take place in Hackensack, but one class will be held in Mahwah and another in Paramus.
