Break-in at Golf Club Falls Short on Bounty
Burglars stole cigarettes before fleeing, police said.
A break-in at the High Mountain Golf Club Sunday left an unknown number of burglars empty-handed - for the most part, Franklin Lakes police said.
Police responded to the club shortly after 2:15 a.m., when a window smashed at the course’s pro shop set off a burglar alarm, according to the department.
But the burglars didn’t get far before officers made it to the scene—police say all that appeared missing were cartons of cigarettes.
