Wyckoff Resident, Beloved Ridgewood Teacher Anita Crivelli Dies at 92

Crivelli taught history and humanities at RHS from 1957-1988.

Anita Crivelli, age 92 of Wyckoff, died on Tuesday. Born in Paterson, Anita had resided in Wyckoff.

A graduate of Montclair State Teacher's College in 1942, and New York University in 1947, Anita had taught history and was a guidance counselor at Hawthorne High School for fifteen years (1942-1957), and then taught history and humanities in for thirty-one years (1957-1988).

Anita was the recipient of the Rohwec Award from Montclair State Teacher's College, the Ashby Award from Ridgewood High School, and the Princeton University Award for Distinguished Teaching. Anita was a member of the NEA, NERA, NJEA, NJERA, BCERA, as well as a parishioner of St. Anthony's R.C. Church in Hawthorne.

Anita M. Crivelli was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph Crivelli and Mary Crivelli. Loving sister of the late Ugo Crivelli. Dear cousin of Albert Barbero, Norma Perry, Robert and Jeffrey Zona, his wife Gail, and his daughters Jenna and Kara. The funeral took place on Saturday, June 23.
