Meditation, Creation and The Secret

Meditation is a effective tool for quieting the mind. Why not create positive change in one's life? 'The Six Steps of Meditation' is a very effective tool for doing this.

Last Tuesday night (May 1st), six people gathered together at the Well Read Bookstore, in Hawthorne. Bill Skees, the owner, is a very gracious host and we gathered at his beautiful store to discuss the New York Times bestseller The Call of Sedona and to practice a meditation method from the book,  'The Six Steps of Meditation'.

Initially, we practiced 'The Six Steps of Meditation' to create a healthy energy circulation in the body: warm energy descends into the lower abdomen and cool energy rises up to the head. In this way, the body feels comfortable and the mind feels calm and refreshed. The mind is relieved of our habit of over-thinking and staying within emotions. In this state, it is very easy to feel the energy field inside our body and also around our body. The feeling is like our consciousness begins to open and it feels very peaceful.

And it occurred to me in this peaceful state, why not also awaken our imagination and creativity? What I realized as we practiced the Six Steps of Meditation, was that this is just like the state of mind that is often mentioned in the book and movie The Secret, by Rhonda Byrne.

All the participants shared that their minds became quiet and peaceful. So, I am looking forward to taking the next step:creating positive changes for one's life. Once our mind becomes peaceful, it is much easier to clearly see our life and to use our energy for creating positive change.

I am really looking forward to our next session! We will meet again on June 5th, 7:15 PM at the Well Read Bookstore, Hawthorne. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP by email at brheal@optonline.net.
