Assassins Creed 3 (My First Impressions)

My initial impressions after playing the first few hours of the long awaited Assassins Creed 3.

Due to Hurricane Sandy causing massive power loss throughout the state of New Jersey; many people including myself were unable to purchase a copy of the long anticipated game Assassins Creed 3 at the Midland Park Gamestop. After traveling to a Gamestop in Wayne I was able to aquire a copy of the game. I fully intend to post a full review on it, but until then I thought it would be nice to share my initial impressions  after playing the first few hours of the game.

One thing people should know before purchasing the game is that the story of Assassins Creed 3 can be confusing to people who have not played previous games in the series. If you have the chance I recommend either play the series from beginning to this game, or look up the story on the Internet or watch all the cutscenes on YouTube.

The first thing I noticed after starting up the game is that its graphics look absolutely stunning. This is probably one of the best looking games on consoles today. The controls from the previous games have been revamped and now the game controls as smooth as butter once you get used to it. The games opening sequence in a London opera house demonstrate the beautiful graphics and the advancements in technology from the previous title. My expectations for this game are very high and so far the game has been far exceeding them, and I can't wait to play more. One thing I can say to people unable to buy it due to their power situation is that is more than worth the wait.
