Undefeated Eisenhower Boys Clinch Soccer League Championship for First Time
The team members were awarded certificates highlighting their achievements at a township committee meeting this week.
A group of Eisenhower Middle School athletes have made history.
For the first time, the school’s soccer team won the North Bergen Middle School Athletic League championship in a game this November.
The boys took the win after an impressive undefeated season of 15 wins and no losses.

The Wyckoff Township Committee honored the boys’ achievement at a meeting Tuesday night, and Mayor Rudy Boonstra issued a proclamation officially congratulating the boys and their head coach Angelo Bonavitacola.
The proclamation thanks the athletes for “serving as positive role models for the young athletes of our community and for illustrating the rewards which can be achieved through commitment and diligence in pursuing excellence.”

Each of the 19 members of the team were presented with a copy of the proclamation Tuesday.
