Restorative Gentle Yoga

Restorative Yoga classes is a practice for everyone; active or inactive. This is a therapeutic practice that focuses on the restorative and renewing nature of yoga in a supportive nurturing environment.  By turning your attention inward, you release deep tension, relax completely, release tension and restore energy. In a Restorative Yoga classs, props are often used to enable a longer pause held 3-5 minutes,  in each pose allowing for an internal shift of letting go and surrender. Restorative poses allow for a deeper release and passive stretching to allow your muscles to relax deep into the core of your being mentally, physically and emotionally. Restorative classes are usually very relaxing and are a good complement to more active practices. Ideal for anyone who wants a restful meditative practice.  Restorative Yoga has been shown to reduce the effects of stress related ailments and beneficial for anxiety, and depression. It is for those times when you feel weak, fatigued or stressed from daily activities.
