Community Corner

Blessing of the Animals

Those of us who have pets
know how much of a joy they can be to our families and in our lives.
Back by popular request, on Sunday, October 6th, we will be having a
special service of blessing of animals. The short liturgy has been taken
from the United Methodist Book of Worship and celebrates the presence
of our pets in our lives.

Members and friends of the church, as
well as other members of the community are encouraged to attend. Pet
owners are encouraged to bring their pets. All pets must leashed or confined
(IE: Fish Bowl, Small Cage, leash, etc.) At the conclusion of the short
service, each pet will receive a personal individual blessing. We will
also have a special prayer for pets who have "crossed over the Rainbow
Bridge".

The celebration will take place on the beautiful church lawn at 2:00pm in the afternoon.

Please come and bring your pets and invite your friends and neighbors to come as well.
