PHOTOS: Hyped Thunderstorm All Bark, No Bite
Thankfully, hail storms were absent and 'damaging' winds were minimal as foreboding thunderstorms rolled through Bergen County Thursday evening. Add your photos to our gallery!
called for damaging winds, large hail, heavy rain and lightning, but outside of a little rain, a lot of thunder and a spectacular lightning show, there wasn't much damage to be found on Thursday night.
PSE&G's outage map reported between 1-500 homes without power in the evening. Locally, only Midland Park and Ridgewood were seemingly affected by the minimal outages, according to the map. Hail? It thankfully never arrived, nor did the projected 58-70 mph winds.
So while the storm didn't live up to the expectations, it did offer some great opportunities for photos. If you have a photo to share, please add!
