Down the Shore: JoBro, Car Show, Memorial Swim

What to do at the beach this weekend.

Rain could put a damper on for one of the last summer weekends but that doesn't mean there isn't still plenty to do down the Shore:

EVENTS

New Jersey native and at noon Friday on Carteret Avenue. The member of the Jonas Brothers will debut his new song "See No More" as part of a live broadcast on B98.5 FM. While anyone can head to Carteret Avenue, beach badge rates still apply for those who'd like to listen from the beach.

Antique autos will roll through Wall Township Sunday for the 16th annual , slated to at Cars from the early 20th century are expected, with trophies to be awarded. The show is free, although parking is $5. For more information, call 732-919-3500.

If you're near Sea Girt, make sure to stop in the O.P.I. Gallery Saturday to check out a . The "Secret Art of Dr. Seuss" will be presented from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the gallery at 2125 Route 35.

The  will continue this weekend with three free concerts, all at 7 p.m. at the , 101 Washington St. The will perform Friday, the Saturday and the Sunday.

Stop by Asbury Park Saturday for a , presented by the New Jersey Friends of Clearwater, an environmental advocacy group. Three stages will feature local and national performers from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Sunset Park, Ocean and 4th avenues. For a full list of performances, click here.

After being canceled last weekend, the will take place at in Long Branch Saturday morning. Swimmers will meet at 8 a.m. at the pier, with a 1-mile swim or 100-yard fun swim to choose from. For more information, click here.

NIGHTLIFE

The Office, 820 Main St., Toms River — For more than 35 years The Office has been an institution in Toms River. Its large and sprawling space provides a casual atmosphere with outdoor dining, a sushi bar and a great happy hour.

Friday: “Fantastic Fridays” with $2.50 pints from open until close.

Saturday: “Big Suds Saturday” with $3 Miller Lite draft mugs from open until close.

Sunday: “Coors Light Sunday” with 50 cents off all drinks not already discounted, $3 house Bloody Marys, $4 Coors Lite “you keep the mug.”

Beachcomber, 100 Ocean Terrace, Seaside Heights — A popular spot among the late-night partiers, Beachcomber has nightly drink specials and great cover bands.

Friday: Live music with Trippin’ Carla at 10 p.m.

Saturday: Steve Brown performs at 3 p.m.; Rumor Has It at 10:30 p.m.

Sunday: Frankie and The Burn at 4 p.m.

Terrace Tavern and Crab Shack, 13201 N. Bay Ave., Beach Haven — Terrace Tavern and Crab Shack is the destination for crab lovers. This tavern gives you a bib and an entire roll of paper towels with their steam pots. You can find weekend entertainment, along with all the big games on their 10 big-screen TVs.

Friday: Flying Fish and Longtrail Pale Ale drafts, shot specials, all $3. Live entertainment with Gary Philips.

Saturday: Music by Mike Mallett, $4 for all Mexican beer, $5 Cuervo margaritas on tap. No cover.

 — Shark Fin is a casual shore-themed restaurant and bar with moderate prices and a friendly clientele.

Friday: Happy hour from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with $1.50 domestic draft beers.

Sunday: Live music with Charlie Mack at 5 p.m., $3 mimosas and Bloody Marys, $2 Miller Lite pints, $2.50 bottles. 

Buckalews, 101 N. Bay Ave, Beach Haven — Buckalews has been serving the Jersey Shore for more than a century.The restaurant offers upscale dining, while the tavern has weekend live entertainment and occasional holiday and theme parties.

Friday: Live entertainment with Star Struk  at 9:30 p.m. Happy hour from 4 to 8 p.m.

Saturday: Live entertainment with The Kootz at 9:30 p.m.

Sunday: Caribbean Night featuring Lenny G and the SoulSenders.  

— A large Irish pub and restaurant, Connolly Station has it all, from late-night dancing to the big game.

Friday: The Pickles at 10 p.m. in the main bar and DJ Dave in the Dublin Bar. Power Hour from 9 to 10 p.m. with no cover and $1 Coors Light bottles.

Saturday: Toxic Twins at 4 p.m. Threat Level Midnight at 10 p.m. in the main bar and DJ A.K. in the Dublin Bar.

Sunday: The Bobby Byrne Show at 4 p.m. with $2.50 Miller Lites. DJ Rob and Sunday Funday Mug Club at 9 p.m. with $2 Miller Lite and Coors Light mugs.

 — 507 is nothing fancy, but it has a great happy hour, a back room with live music and late night DJs, and a TV-lined bar to watch all the big games.

Friday: DJ Swat & Storm late night. All beers are $2.50 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Saturday: Joe Baracata Band; late-night party hits with DJ Kel & Anubis. All beers are $2.50 from 3 to 7 p.m.
