'Fight for Frank' Benefit Coming to Blue Moon

Fundraiser at the Wyckoff restaurant on Jan. 16 and 17

Locals will have the opportunity to help Frank Chamberlin in his fight against cancer at an event at Blue Moon later this month.

Wyckoff resident Kristen Marino contacted Blue Moon recently about hosting the fundraiser.

On Jan. 16 and 17, 20 percent of customers' bills will be donated to "Fight for Frank" if they bring in the flier attached to this story, Marino said Friday.

Chamberlin, a Wyckoff resident and former NFL player, suffered a seizure last year when he was 24 and collapsed at work.

He was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma (grade 3 glioma), a severe form of brain cancer. Chamberlin underwent surgery that partially removed the tumor, but was left with ongoing seizures and significant speech impairment.

'Fight for Frank' was founded in late last year in an attempt raise $200,000 toward Chamberlin's medical bills.
