Ramapo Student Artist Spreads Awareness at Breast Cancer Walk

Sophomore's artwork won a contest run by St. Joseph's Wayne Hospital at its recent Breast Cancer Awareness Walk.

Artwork created by a Ramapo High School student helped visually represent a message of awareness at the Second Annual ‘Health Partners’ Breast Cancer Walk held in Wayne earlier this month.

About 500 participants completed the three-mile walk, according to a release from the event’s organizer, University Imaging at St. Joseph’s Wayne Hospital.

According to the release, Ramapo High School’s art teacher Daniel Bertelli teamed up with University Imaging’s marketing manager, Kevin Kiel, to run an art contest. Students at the regional high school were able to submit images that they felt could help raise awareness of the disease.
