Wyckoff's Tara Reid Cut from Cast of 'Sharknado' Sequel

"Sharknado" kicked up a storm on Twitter upon its SyFy channel debut two weeks ago.

Tara Reid, a Wyckoff native made famous by her appearances in the "American Pie" movies, survived the round of shark attacks dished out to her by the producers of the SyFy channel's "Sharknado."

But Reid won't be back for a planned sequel, according to published entertainment reports.

"Sharknado" made its made-for-television debut to a flood of social media attention two weeks ago, much of it biting, and producers reportedly began prepping for a sequel immediately.

According to a report by TMZ, Reid was cut from the cast for "Sharknado 2," while producers opted to keep on fellow Jersey native Ian Zeiring, best known for "Beverly Hills, 90210."

Reid reportedly earned a $50,000 paycheck for the first movie.
