Wyckoff YMCA Hosting Auditions for Kander and Ebb Review

Rehearsals for the musical start in February. The show hits the Y stage in May.

The Wyckoff YMCA has announced its spring musical, and auditions are happening next week.

This year's show is And the World Goes 'Round, a musical review of the music of John Kander and Fred Ebb.

The Y's Theater Arts Company announced it is seeking local singers, actors, and dancers ages 15 and up to fill the roles in the show. Auditions will be held at the Wyckoff Y next Thursday, Jan. 23 from 6:30-9 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 25 from 1-4 p.m.

Hopefuls should prepare a short song to be sung with a pianist, and bring sheet music and a picture. All those auditioning will learn a short dance combo.

Anyone who makes it into the show should expect a $100 registration fee and rehearsals on Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons starting in February, the release said.

Performances of the show will be in May at the Y.
