Wyckoff Y Offers Broadway Workshop for Young Actors

The Wyckoff Family YMCA is pleased to announce a musical theater workshop with “Wicked” star Kristy Cates and Broadway Workshop Director Marc Tumminelli.

It will be held on Saturday, Oct. 20, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Wyckoff YMCA and is geared towards teens 9 to 14 years old.

Each student should prepare one musical theater song of their choice and bring sheet music in the correct key. Covered topics are: musical warm-up, song interpretation and coaching, improve/scenework, dance combination, and Q&A.

The workshop gives an opportunity for young actors to learn how to stand out from the crowd and take their audition and performance skills to the next level.

Students will also take part in a Broadway Movement Master Class. The cost is $125 for Y members, $150 for non-members. Call the Y at 201-891-2081 or click on www.wyckoffymca.org to register.
