Wyckoff Y Holding Open Call Auditions for Peter Pan

Kids and adults needed to fill roles. Auditions will be held Thursday and Saturday.

Aspiring young actors will have a chance to perform on stage this December, thanks to a classic performance set to hit the stage at the Wyckoff YMCA.

The Y announced this week that it will be holding open call auditions for its holiday musical, Peter Pan, this Thursday from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and this Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Y is casting for the role of Captain Hook, and child through adult actors ages six and up.

No appointment is necessary, but according to a release from the Y, auditioners should be prepared to sing a musical theater song and learn a dance combination. An accompanist will be provided by the Y, but acting, singing, and dancing hopefuls should bring sheet music and a photo.

Once the show is cast, rehearsals will be held Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons starting September 12. Peter Pan, which will be directed by Reegan McKenzie and Tim Santos, will be performed December 12-15.
