Temple Emanuel Postpones 'Walking Dead' Event Due to Hurricane Sandy

Rabbi Prouser from Temple Emanuel of North Jersey says the event will be rescheduled soon.

Rabbi Joseph Prouser sent the following email canceling tonight's scheduled Walking Dead event:

Dear friends (and fans of “The Walking Dead”):

With regret, but out of concern for your safety and that of our scheduled panelists, who were to travel to join us… I have decided to POSTPONE tonight’s panel discussion on “The Walking Dead.”  The Zombie Apocalypse is simply no match for the Winter Storm – Nor’easter- Hurricane combination that is heading our way!!!  We will reschedule the program once we can coordinate calendars with our erudite panel.  No one is more disappointed than I… but holding a panel discussion on survival ethics in extreme weather and under an official state of emergency seems like misplaced intrepidity!!!

If members of the congregation are in need of emergency assistance or support during the storm, Susan Yudin (201) 315-3342 and I (516) 554-4072 will be glad to hear from you and will help to coordinate for your needs.

Looking forward to many more creative and exciting congregational programs… under calmer circumstances and clearer skies!
