Ryan Seacrest Premieres Ramapo Grad's Music Video on Website

After winning several of the site's singing competitions, local artist Ali Brustofski said reps at RyanSeacrest.com contacted her to debut her new video on the American Idol host's site.

After winning several local and national singing competitions, being named Z100’s ‘Hometown Hero,’ and premiering her first original music video on Z100.com, Ramapo High School graduate Ali Brustofski says she was looking for an exciting way to debut the latest music video off of her first album.

“I had won a couple of cover song competitions at RyanSeacrest.com, and they are always looking for ways to promote new talent,” Brustofski told Patch Tuesday.

“So, they called me asking if I had any new videos I would want to debut on the site, and of course that’s amazing, so I was so happy to show them my video.”

The video is for the original song “You Are,” and it premiered on Ryan Seacrest’s website last Friday. It is the first single off of Brustofski’s first album, “Dream Big,” which was released in July and is currently for sale on iTunes.

With over 1,000 shares across different social media platforms, it’s safe to say that visitors to the American Idol host’s website enjoyed the video. And Seacrest’s talent scouts liked it, too.

“YouTube sensation Ali Brustofski has unveiled the infectious music video for her pop-heavy love song, 'You Are,' and RyanSeacrest.com has the exclusive premiere,” the site wrote in a blogpost about the video.

The site calls the Joel Dunn-directed video “simple, yet aesthetically-captivating.”

Brustofski, who lives in Oakland and graduated from Ramapo in 2012, said the video premiere is a big step in her music career.

“This is awesome, exposure-wise,” she said.

“It has definitely brought me some new fans that I didn’t have before. I was honored that they wanted to debut my video.”

Brustofski first started garnering attention on her YouTube channel when she started posting videos of her singing cover songs when she was in eighth grade. She posts a cover video each week, and now has over 334,000 subscribers. Her new video for “You Are,” which she co-wrote, has been posted on YouTube for two days, and already has over 16,000 views.

“I am really proud of this video, and proud that RyanSeacrest.com chose to premiere it,” she said.

“I really hope people like it.”
