Broadway Stars Putting on Theater Clinic in Wyckoff

Young performers in grades 3 & up can learn the art of performance at “A Day of Broadway at The Wyckoff Family YMCA” with Broadway Stars Donna Vivino, Jessica Lee Goldyn and Musical Director, Greg Kenna. 

DONNA VIVINO (Broadway's Wicked, Hairspray, Les Miserables, Saturday Night Fever & Fame Becomes Me) and JESSICA LEE GOLDYN (Broadway's A Chorus Line) along with a professional musical director, GREG KENNA will work with students in a special one-day workshop at the Wyckoff Y.  

This workshop will focus on giving young actors the tools necessary to help them stand out from the crowd and take their audition and performance skills to the next level. Students will also take part in a Broadway Movement Master Class and an Improv Workshop. Each student should prepare one musical theatre song of their choice for this class. Please have sheet music in the correct key. Topics covered include: Musical Warm-up, Song Interpretation and Coaching, Improv Work, Dance Combination, and Q & A with Broadway Stars.

The clinic will be held on Sunday, April 27 from 1-4pm.  Cost is $125 for Y members; $150 for non-members, and will be held at the Wyckoff Family YMCA, 691 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff.

A proud Bergen County (Fair Lawn) native, Donna Vivino recently finished a stint on Broadway performing in Wicked as Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. Previous Broadway credits include: Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me, Hairspray, Saturday Night Fever, and the original Les Miserables as Young Cosette where she can be heard on the cast recording singing Castle On A Cloud. She also starred in the NYC premiere of Stars of David portraying Jewish celebrities such as Fran Drescher, Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Gwyneth Paltrow and will be heard on the upcoming cast recording.  On the small screen you can catch Donna on the hit webseries Submissions Only as Serena Maxwell. JESSICA LEE GOLDYN (Dance Master Class) Broadway: A CHORUS LINE (Val/Cassie).  NY: ON THE TOWN (Ivy) National/International Tours: FOSSE Regional: CHICAGO (Velma), SWEET CHARITY (Charity), CRAZY FOR YOU (Polly), DAMN YANKEES (Lola), PETER PAN (Tiger Lily) and LEGALLY BLONDE (Brooke).  Jessica was part of Documentary Film EVERY LITTLE STEP  about the audition and casting process for the Broadway revival of A CHORUS LINE which can now be found on DVD.  Ms. Goldyn can also be seen as (Lucy) on the new NBC Hit show SMASH! 

GREG KENNA – With Broadway Workshop, Greg was recently the music director for Vote! The Musical. Other recent projects include: Dogfight (Second Stage Theatre), The Sound of Music (Carnegie Hall), Pool Boy (NYU, New York Premiere). Upcoming: Lempicka workshop with Yale Repertory Theatre. Greg holds a Bachelors of Music from NYU/Steinhardt.
