Wyckoff's Weekend Checklist: Fishing Derby, Russell Farms Ribbon Cutting, Wyckoff Day

All events are happening Saturday.

This weekend consists of a number of community events in Wyckoff. Here's your weekend checklist:

Fishing Derby

At 8:45 a.m. Saturday, the Annual Fishing Derby commences at Zabriskie Pond Park located behind the Wyckoff Shopping Center. The catch-and-release event generally attracts 200 young anglers and provides a venue to learn about the outdoors and the environment.

Russell Farms Ribbon Cutting

At 10 a.m. Saturday at the new Russell Farms Community Park a Girl Scout troop will unveil their Bronze project which includes identifying and labeling the species of trees at the tree farm (arboretum). This is consistent with the historical use of the property as a farm/tree grove.

Wyckoff Day

The Saturday celebration begins at 11 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. at the Wyckoff Family YMCA campus located at 690 Wyckoff Avenue. The annual event celebrates all things Wyckoff, and is set to include rides, games, shopping, food, a ducky derby, lakeside fun, a kiddie carnival, music, and entertainment.
