Wyckoff, Hawthorne Zoning Boards Approve 17 Acre Expansion Of Christian Health Care Center

The expansion of the Christian Health Care Center campus was approved after seven years of testimony between Wyckoff and Hawthorne at the Hawthorne Zoning Board meeting on July 21. The proposal had been approved by the Wyckoff Zoning Board last March, but needed approval by the Hawthorne Zoning Board because 51 units of the campus are in Hawthorne, requiring hearings in both towns. The Christian Health Care Center, located at 301 Sicomac Avenue, straddles both Hawthorne and Wyckoff. 

The proposal for the 199-unit project, which will be called The Vista, expands the 78-acre campus by an additional 17 acres and will provide independent living accommodations to those 65 years of age and over.
