Wyckoff Ave. Closed Saturday for Roadwork

County will be installing safety road surface on the street.

Wyckoff Avenue will be closed most of the day Saturday between Greenwood and Godwin Avenues while the county performs work to enhance the safety of the road, according to the Township of Wyckoff.

The Bergen County DPW will close the portion of the road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. while it installs a safety road grip on the street.

Safety grips are a thin waterproof surface installed to increase friction on the road and reduce skidding.

Drivers should expect delays and plan for extra travel time through the day, the township says. In the case of rain on Saturday, the work will be completed on Sunday.

Northbound traffic will be detoured right onto Greenwood and then left onto Godwin. Southbound traffic will be rerouted straight on Godwin, right on Greenwood, and then left back onto Wyckoff.

The YMCA driveway will provide access to Pulis Field and private roads in the Spring Meadow Condominium Complex during the roadwork.
