Update: Cedar Hill Roadwork Rescheduled for This Week

Road resurfacing originally scheduled for Saturday has been postponed to next Wednesday.

A resurfacing of a section of Cedar Hill Avenue by the Bergen County Department of Public Works, originally scheduled for Saturday, has been postponed until this week, the township said Friday.

The work to install a Safety-T-Grip road surface on Cedar Hill between Wyckoff Avenue and Newtown Road will take place instead Thursday, Aug. 15 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Residents within the work area that are expecting garbage collection Wednesday should have their cans curbside before work begins, the township said, and drivers passing through that area during commutes should anticipate delays.

The detour route will remain the same as the one planned for Saturday: Northbound traffic will be turning right onto Wyckoff Avenue and left onto Newtorn Road, while southbound drivers will be directed straight onto Newtown, right onto Hillcrest Avenue, right onto Wyckoff and then left back to Cedar Hill.
