Letter: 5th Grader Thanks Red Cross after Hurricane Sandy

Send your letters to Joseph.Gerace@patch.com

Dear Red Cross,

Thank you for protecting us during Hurricane Sandy. Your shelters helped save so many families. If it wasn't for you a lot of people would be injured.

You really helped people after this storm and are still continuing to help. I admire you for that and look forward to helping more as I get older.

You are all my hero. I look up to you and what you do to help our nation. I can not thank you enough for all you do to help families in their time of need.

Dear Brianna Your message was inspiring and we really appreciate your kind words and thoughts. However, we could not do this without our wonderful volunteers and partners out in the community, including yourself. Working together and helping each other is so important. I was also happy when you said that you would continue to help those in need, and I look forward to the day when you join us as a volunteer with the Red Cross. Warmest Wishes Jocelyn Gilman Community Chapter Executive American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey
