Flash Flood Warnings To Continue Through Tuesday Night For Northeast New Jersey

The Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late Tuesday night in North Jersey.

After most of the state experienced severe thunderstorms and two to three inches of torrential rain in some areas on Monday, the National Weather Service continued its Flash Flood Watch through Tuesday night for Northeast New Jersey.

The Flash Flood Watch is in effect for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Passaic counties.

The Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been canceled, however, storms with potential heavy rain will continue throughout Tuesday night and in to Wednesday, with a possibility of an additional two to three inches in some areas. The northeastern section of New Jersey remains at risk of flash flooding as the storms gradually move toward the southern parts of Connecticut and New York on Wednesday.
