A portion of Cedar Hill Avenue will be closed most of the day Saturday while the county performs roadwork, the Township of Wyckoff has advised.
The street will be closed between Wyckoff Avenue and Newtown Road from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. while the Bergen County DPW installs a Safety-T-Grip road surface, a coating placed on the road intended to increase friction and reduce skidding.
Similar work was completed on a portion of Wyckoff Avenue last weekend.
Drivers should plan for extra traffic and travel time through the duration of the work, and residents expecting garbage collection in the area should have cans curbside before 6 a.m., the township said in a release.
Planned detours have northbound traffic turning right onto Wyckoff Avenue and left onto Newtorn Road, while southbound drivers will be directed straight onto Newtown, right onto Hillcrest Avenue, right onto Wyckoff and then left back to Cedar Hill.
