Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff is proud to honor David F. Bolger and the Bolger Foundation for their legacy of service, leadership, and commitment to the community Thursday, September 12, 2013, at The Estate at Florentine Gardens, River Vale. The event Co-chairs are Audrey Meyers, President and CEO, Valley Health System and The Valley Hospital, and Thomas M. Wells, Esq., Senior Partner and CFO, Wells, Jaworski & Liebman, LLP.
First time in its 102-year history, CHCC has named an award after Mr. David F. Bolger of Ridgewood, NJ. This award aptly titled, “The David F. Bolger Award for Service and Leadership” will be unveiled and presented to Mr. Bolger and the Bolger Foundation as its inaugural recipients during the evening’s program. Going forward, CHCC will award other individuals or organizations who have made outstanding contributions to the community and our mission with the “David F. Bolger Award for Service and Leadership.”
“We are very excited about honoring David Bolger, not only by presenting him with an award, but also by creating an award that bears his name,” said Douglas A. Struyk, CPA, LNHA, CHCC President and CEO. “Mr. Bolger’s commitment and generosity to CHCC over the last 25 years has provided us the resources to expand our programs and meet the growing healthcare demands of our community. We look forward to continuing his legacy by honoring future deserving recipients with the David F. Bolger Award for Service and Leadership.”
A special musical tribute will feature jazz greats Warren Vache, Bucky Pizzarelli, Nicki Parrott, Steve Johns, Harry Allen, and Derek Smith. Event sponsorship and ticket/table purchase opportunities are only available until Friday, September 6.
Mr. Bolger’s interest in quality of life issues, as well as the needs of children and senior citizens, led him to CHCC. For almost 25 years, Mr. Bolger and The Bolger Foundation have generously supported the Center in its ongoing commitment to expand services to fulfill our communities’ growing needs.
The proceeds will be used to support the Center’s 2013 Annual Fund, which will be used for renovations and improvements within Ramapo Ridge Psychiatric Hospital. Ticket price is $250.
