Christian Health Care Center Raises Record $134K at Annual Golf Classic

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) in Wyckoff recently held its 25th Annual Golf Classic at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany, raising a record $134,000. Despite the rainy weather, 175 golfers and 31 dedicated volunteers participated in the event.

Proceeds from the 25th Annual Golf Classic will go directly to support CHCC’s 2014 Annual Fund, which will be used for renovations and improvements within Heritage Manor Nursing Home. Empire Ambulance, Kuiken Brothers Co., and WB Mason were top Corporate Sponsors to help celebrate the silver anniversary of CHCC’s Golf Classic.

The evening culminated with an awards dinner program and a successful live auction by auctioneer Bob Milligan of Morgan Stanley.

Ken Ogden, Leed AP Vice President for Lecesse Construction, West Henrietta, NY, scored the lowest gross score in the tournament. Each year, volunteers from the Golf Classic Committee organize the annual outing for CHCC. The committee is co-chaired by Rick De Bel and Edward Nieuwenhuis Jr., DPM. Committee members include Darcy Bickert, Maureen Braen, John Gunther, Bill Haggerty, Jonathan Karel, David Krentel, Julie Lee, Bill Munn, and Gordon Stanley.

“The committee is also currently selling tickets for The Barclays, which Christian Health Care Center will receive partial proceeds of ticket sales,” said David Krentel, Executive Director of the Christian Health Care Center Foundation.

The Barclays will be held from August 19 to 24 at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus. CHCC has weekly grounds tickets available for $125, which includes an individual ticket to each day of the tournament, two practice rounds on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the four competitive rounds from Thursday through Sunday. By purchasing the tickets directly through CHCC, there is no ticket service fee to pay. Tickets are provided by the Tickets Fore Charity program sponsored by the PGA Tour, which means that 75 percent of the ticket price is donated by the PGA Tour to CHCC. For questions and tickets for The Barclays, contact Darcy Bickert, Foundation Assistant Director, at (201) 848-5796 or dbickert@chccnj.org.
