Open to all faiths, these luncheons are offered the third Wednesday of every month and provide opportunities for those mourning the loss of a loved one to gather together and be strengthened through sharing, scripture, prayer, and reflection. A complimentary lunch is provided, but donations are accepted.

ministry originated in Dallas, Texas and was held in churches.

“I believe that this type of bereavement support group which incorporates the major component of faith into a person’s journey through grief will deeply impact those who choose to participate,” said Sandra Masters, MDiv, Heritage Manor Nursing Home Chaplain. “I’ve seen it happen in Dallas, and that’s why I was so passionate about bringing this program to the community here in New Jersey. It also seems like a natural extension of the healing ministry that we have had here at Christian Health Care Center for more than 100 years.”

CHCC provides a broad continuum of high-quality, compassionate care, offering superior mental-health, elder-care, residential living, and rehabilitation services. As a non-profit organization, we deliver care to our community based upon the Christian principles on which we were founded more than a century ago.For more information, visit ChristianHealthCare.org.
