Bear is an adult German Shepherd/Chow mix that came Bergen
County Protect & Rescue Foundation as a stray on Christmas Eve 2012. He was
tied to a tree and left for dead.
If it were not for BC Protect & Rescue volunteers, he would have
gone to a local high kill shelter to be euthanized.  This handsome boy walks well on a leash and is housebroken. Bear
loves to go for long walks, loves attention, very sweet and very gentle but
however strong.  He is a favorite among
volunteers and would be best as an only pet as he does not like cats and gets
along with some dogs.  Bear is
neutered, up-to-date with routine shots and house trained.

Bear can be adopted at Bergen County Protect & Rescue
by calling 201-945-0649 or www.BCRescues.org.  The volunteer shelter is located at 302
2nd St., Cliffside Park and is opened M - Su 1p – 5p.
