Community Update

Christian
Health Care Center (CHCC) celebrated the 37th Annual National
Nursing Assistants Week held recently and hosted an informative Ice Cream
Social in CHCC’s Auditorium. CHCC never misses an opportunity to incorporate an
educational component when gathering staff. A presentation on preventing
pressure ulcers with a demonstration of pressure-reducing equipment was
provided, while staff enjoyed ice cream sundaes. Certified Nursing Assistants
(CNAs) were recognized with an additional presentation emphasizing what an
impact their dedication and hard work has on those they care for. CHCC
currently employs approximately 270 CNAs on staff.

             “The CNA is an
essential member of the health-care team,” said Geri Blom, RN, Clinical
Educator/CNA Program Coordinator. “CNAs have a great impact on the quality of
life for patients and residents they interact with on a daily basis.”

CHCC
provides a broad continuum of high-quality, compassionate care, offering
superior mental-health, elder-care, residential-living, and rehabilitation
services. As a non-profit organization, we deliver care to our community based
upon the Christian principles on which we were founded more than a century ago.
