Community Update

Christian Health Care Center (CHCC)
in Wyckoff celebrated National Nurses Week by offering nursing staff a series
of educational programs specific to elder care, memory care, and mental health.
In addition, the Nurse Practice Council hosted a “Bake and Celebrate” event in
the Employee Cafeteria. In addition to sharing the sweet treats with staff,
they provided information about National Nurses Week and fall-prevention
awareness. The information on fall awareness was provided for staff to apply to
themselves and their family members, as well as to the work they do in their
various roles at CHCC. Fall prevention and reduction is a team effort which
includes all departments, including Nursing, Food and Nutrition Services,
Social Work, Environmental Services, Rehabilitation Services, Pastoral Care,
and all other clinical and support staff.

CHCC
provides a broad continuum of high-quality, compassionate care, offering
superior mental health, elder care, residential living and rehabilitation
services. As a non-profit organization, we deliver care to our community based
upon the Christian principles on which we were founded more than a century ago.
