All users can add events taking place at local spots, can rate the business on a scale of one to five stars, and can add a review. But did you know owners of local businesses can "claim" their listings to keep the information for their customers as up-to-date as possible? Owners or managers should search for their business listing and select "Claim your listing" in order to make updates to the page. Hekemian Discusses Affordable Housing at ShopRite Hearing

The owners of Boulder Run worked with the township to make a compromise when they previously applied for their expansion.

Developer Bryan Hekemian explained some of the details behind a compromise made between Wyckoff and Munico Associates, the company which owns Boulder Run, which led to the expansion of Boulder Run and brought 16 affordable housing units to the township during a meeting of the Wyckoff Planning Board Wednesday night. Hekemian is objecting to Inserra Supermarkets' plan to build a new 62,000-square-foot ShopRite at the site of the former A&P on Wyckoff and Greenwood Avenues. He had previously testified that the affordable housing units, built during Boulder Run's expansion between 2008 and 2010, were a financial loss, but did not give any specifics. While pro-Inserra attorney John Lamb cross-examined Hekemian Wednesday, the developer explained…

I'm not sure how Chuck makes a connection between the Boulder Run affordable units and Thomas Madigan's appointment to the zoning board of adjustment. One has nothing to do with the other. In fact, Mr. Madigan took his seat on the Township Committee 4 years after Boulder Run was approved. Additionally, he was involved on the team (with Chuck's guy, Brian Scanlan) which worked on the acquisition …   more ›

For Sale: Real Housewife Gorga's $3.8M Montville Mansion

Family reportedly trying to move back to Franklin Lakes

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars Joe and Melissa Gorga have put their $3.8 million Montville mansion on the market, according to The Star Ledger. The Star-Ledger reported that in 2010, the Gorga's put their home on the market for $4.5 million but changed their minds after signing on to the Bravo reality show and have now decided to sell to move back to Franklin Lakes. The home, at 8 Pond View, is 13,500 square feet and features six bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms. The Gorga home was ranked in January No. 7 on Zillow's list of the Top 10 Most Viewed Homes of 2011. The home came in one slot before the White House. Montville Patch previously reported that the home was assessed at $1.5 million and property taxes on the home last…

Wyckoff Planning Board Approves New Traffic Expert

Berge Tombalakian of Boswell Engineering will replace Gary Dean, who was removed last month due to a conflict of interest.

The Wyckoff Planning Board voted unanimously to instate Berge Tombalakian as its new traffic engineering expert for Inserra Supermarkets' application to build a new ShopRite in the township. Tombalakian, who was not at the meeting Wednesday, will replace Gary Dean. The board voted to remove Dean from the position last month when it was revealed that he was involved in another Inserra application in New Milford, creating a conflict of interest. Peter Ten Kate, the board's engineer and a colleague of Tombalakian at Boswell Engineering, said the traffic expert had not heard any testimony or read any transcripts that would taint his objectivity. Tombalakian will have to catch up by reading transcripts of the hearings — minus any comments by …

@ AML -- interesting comment about Boswell's link to Hekemian (your other comments, keep to yourself....). Is there a public document or link to back this up? Please share with patch.com so it can be brought to attention of the Planning Board. Given the negligence in vetting the zoning attorney and other experts, we should presume the Planning Board is once again missing some material piece of …   more ›
