See U Saturday Opens for Business

Soft opening planned for 10 a.m. Tuesday

As in November 2011, Wyckoff was losing one of it's locally owned businesses.

This morning at 10 a.m. the store will reopen with a new name, .

Not only has the name above the doorway changed, the primo storefront space in Boulder Run has phased out all infant, toddler and preschool clothing clothing and begun featuring what store manager Angela Festa calls the "tween, teen and young adult" demographic.

Dresses for young girls rank high on the store's priority list, she said Monday afternoon.

"We want to have a lot of dresses all the time," Festa said. "Girls at that middle school, high school age always need dresses for dances at school and sweet sixteens — we want to be their destination for that."

"My daughter's in eighth grade and she just told me, 'I need a dress my eighth grade trip, I need a dress for my graduation and I need a dress for the spring social,'" Festa said. "If every kid in the area needs that I want to be that store."

But that hardly means the family owned store is focused entirely on the fairer sex. On the store's right-hand, customers will find rack after rack of active wear catering to young boys and men, ages 8-20.

"Sports is really important to that age group, so we have a lot of Nike and Under Armour," Festa said. "We're also really proud and well known for our assortment of swim wear for boys and girls."

The store will be open for business on Tuesday, March 6, but will hold off for about a month on its whizbang grand opening. Festa said they want to fine tune the new retail space before going all out.

"We really pressed for this date [for Tuesday,] because if we don't set a date and push for it we can go on tweaking the store forever," Festa said. "In retail it's never over there's always new merchandise — we get like 15 to 20 cartons a day."

The store will be open Tuesday at 10 a.m. Contact See U Saturday at 201-891-5900.
