Be Part of Wyckoff Day

The Wyckoff Day Committee is looking for local businesses, civic groups, non-profits, local residents and families

The Wyckoff Family YMCA and the Wyckoff Day Committee are excited to be planning the third annual Wyckoff Day, scheduled for Saturday, June 9, from noon to 6 p.m.

The committee is made up of Y staff and community volunteers including 3 Chicas owner Lee Parker, Wyckoff Mayor Chris DePhillips, Blue Moon owner Howie Felixbrod, Kathy Scarpelli, Kris Pepper, Dottie Van Der Horn, Jay Vidockler, Wyckoff YMCA Executive Director Joy Vottero and many more.

Pepper, who also serves as YMCA public relations director, said the team's vision for the fun-filled day includes live music, delicious food, a vendor village, and children’s rides, family friendly games and activities for all ages, culminating in a performance by the Dave Fields Band

Wyckoff Day Committee Chair Lee Parker said that among 120 or so booths, one exciting new attraction this year will be a chili cook-off sponsored by the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce. The pro event will benefit the Wyckoff Volunteer Fire Department and Wyckoff Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

"[The event] is a huge task, but also a shining example of how to make things happen," Parker said.

The day will take place at the Wyckoff Family YMCA’s fourteen acre campus.

Participation from civic organizations, schools, the Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce, local merchants, charitable organizations, houses of worship, friends and neighbors will contribute greatly to the success of a day all about “Celebrating Community,” Pepper said.

The planning committee expects thousands of Wyckoff and area residents to come out to celebrate the Township of Wyckoff.

All local businesses, civic groups, non-profits, Wyckoff residents and families are invited to participate.

Call Jennifer Sauer at the Y at 201-891-2081 Ext. 117 to get a booth, become a sponsor, or to volunteer at the event.

A volunteer form is also attached to this story.
