Where to Get Gas – Tell Your Neighbors

High demand and lack of electricity is creating lines and hour-long backups.

Lines are stretching for blocks and lasting hours as residents try to track down gasoline to power generators and fuel up their cars.

Gasoline is at a premium as a post-Hurricane Sandy New Jersey continues to wait for electricity to return.

Some estimates have power out in Wyckoff for at least another week.

So, we're asking you, the faithful Patch readers, to tell your neighbors where gas is available, for how much, and what the wait time was when you were there.

Add those details to our comments section, and thanks for helping out!

We've seen gas stations serving customers in Midland Park on Godwin Avenue near Goffle Road and in Waldwick on Crescent Avenue... Tell us where you've gone to get gas. Did they accept credit or cash only? How long were the lines? Tell us below...

Both petrol stations (how european of me) on Godwin and Goffle in Midland Park have run out of gas and shut up shop for the day. No employees were around to tell me when they'd be getting more gas.

I saw Lukoil on 208 South at Fair Lawn but the line seemed like 100s were on it. Also there were 2 stations in Paramus on Route 4, one on either side.

That guy that said he has all the gas he can handle? I would be surprise if someone tracks him down , steals his gas and becomes one of us poor bastards trying to find an open gas station! Lol
