VFW Plant Sale; Spring is Here

The Wyckoff/Midland Park VFW is holding their first of two plant sales this weekend across from the Boulder Run shopping center.

The Wyckoff/Midland Park VFW is holding the first of their two plant and flower sales this weekend. You may have spotted the handsome group of veterans set up near the train tracks outside Wyckoff Town Hall on Friday.

If you didn’t have time to stop off and grab a special something for Easter, never fear, the VFW will be there again Saturday, March 30, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“We represent Midland Park and Wyckoff and we are comprised of WWII, Vietnam, Korean War and Afghanistan veterans,” said Post Commander Bruce A. Sterngberg. “The funds generated at a sale like this are used for various community functions.”

It’s a friendly group of gentleman who have risked a lot to help our country so stop by if you can and grab a plant, say hello and always remember to thank our veterans.

“Our older members are unfortunately departing very quickly and we would clearly like to hear from veterans of Afghanistan and Iraq. We provide a free year membership to any qualified veteran and we encourage that anyone who wants to join the VFW contact us,” added Sterngberg.
