The Good China Brings Elegant Diningware to Wyckoff

Upscale offerings for the discerning buyer

The Good China, a one-stop shop for your home's formal and casual diningware needs, has its grand opening on Saturday, July 9 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

"I saw the window boxes and it was love," said Kelly Zweig of her store's new location at 257 Everett Avenue in Wyckoff. The cozy store is attached to the iconic Weichert Realtors building facing Franklin Avenue.

The Good China was based in Northeastern Pennsylvania for several years before opening in Zweig's town. "After years of commuting to and from Sweet Valley, Penn. and Wyckoff, it was time to move and fill the need in town," said Zweig.

Inside the charming yellow clapboard store, guests are immersed into a dining room setting, featuring fine china, flatware, stemware, and more. Items such as stainless steel serving pieces, linens, and fine crystal help make a home more elegant.

The Good China features an assortment of classic, hard-to-find, and brand new patterns. "I was surprised to see that Bloomingdale's did not yet have many of the Rosenthal patterns I already carry," said Zweig. Specific offerings can be found in this story's photo gallery.

In fact, The Good China is awaiting a shipment of Jasper Conran for Wedgwood in the Baroque style. "It's an absolutely gorgeous design and being shipped directly from England," said Zweig.

The homey-feeling of this store is an extension of Zweig's warm and outgoing personality. "What I love about my industry is that I get to talk to people all day," said Zweig. She also serves as a personal shopper and will help customers find or match sets with existing home decor. It is not unusual to find Zweig clutching fabric swatches and comparing colors or designs of sets.

"My store is a no-pressure environment. I want everyone to leave happy. Live and let live," said Zweig
